Security starts before an incident.

I help explain how to protect people and cargo in transport and warehouses. Through articles, speaking and education, I share knowledge about risk, technology and security standards.

a career path.

CURRENT ROLE
Marketing ManagerXBS Logistics

Security is my passion. I develop my expertise through self-directed learning and collaboration with people in transport, freight forwarding and logistics.

I advise on transport technologies and warehouse security. I help explain risk, the purpose of standards and how to translate them into everyday procedures. Through publications, conferences and webinars, I explore partner verification and the protection of cargo and drivers. Today, as Marketing Manager at XBS Logistics, I combine this perspective with communicating logistics services.

  1. Build awareness of the risks

What does security really mean in transport and logistics? I explore threats to people, cargo and processes, and why they matter across the whole business.

  2. Understand the purpose of standards

I explain why security standards exist and how to approach implementation: understanding needs, organising requirements and assigning clear responsibility.

  3. Bring security into daily decisions

Partner checks, clear procedures, sound habits and a response to change. Security is also built through the ordinary decisions people make every day.

A comprehensive approach
to security.

Technology, people and procedures work together. Choose transport or warehouse, then select a point on the diagram or a security feature below to learn how it works.

GPS and telematics

Vehicle location and alerts support route oversight and an agreed response to events.

A QUESTION FOR THE BUSINESSWho can see the location, and what happens when a journey deviates from the plan?

From a door opening to a monitoring response

An armed system, an unexpected opening, an alert and event verification.

From a door opening to a monitoring responseDiagram of a vehicle with cargo doors, GPS position and a monitoring desk. Each step is described below. SYSTEM ARMED ALERT GPS position Monitoring Vehicle
  1. System armed

The vehicle is in transit. In this example, cargo-door protection is armed.

  2. Unexpected opening

The doors open outside the agreed process. A sensor records the change of state.

  3. Alert to monitoring

In this configuration, an opening while the system is armed creates an alert. Not every door opening means an alarm.

  4. Position and context

Monitoring reads the last available GPS position and event data, then checks the transport context.

  5. Procedure-led response

An operator verifies the situation, attempts to contact the driver and assesses further escalation. An emergency-service response is neither automatic nor guaranteed.

Simplified educational example. It does not depict an XBS incident or confirm TAPA certification. Security measures and responses depend on the specific configuration and procedures.
